A Disturbing Lack of Humanity, Civility, and Compassion

This morning I find myself feeling very sad and frustrated about the increasingly prevalent lack of humanity compassion, and civility. You hear examples all over the news, every day.

Just last night as a girl was standing on the Aurora Bridge contemplating suicide more than one driver, out of frustration, taunted the girl to jump with calls of "Just jump already!" I can't begin to wrap my head around this type of behavior or thought process. All I can manage is to think "What the hell is wrong with people!?" In this case the girl, no doubt thanks to the work of some incredible professionals, came back from the edge. She's alive today.

I know there are stories of incredible compassion, and generosity out there. Unfortunately, they're just harder to find. Let's all try a little harder to be sources of positivity. I think the world needs it. I know I do.
